If you are installing a 49-51 Ford Flathead 8BA in your earlier pre-49 Ford， these are the brackets you’ll need to attach your factory anti-chatter or steady rods to your newer engine. The main brackets are laser cut from 1/2” steel and the smaller spacer are laser cut and tumbled from 1/4” steel. These mounts bolt to the factory bell housing with two bolts per side (not included) using existing holes and provide the additional hole needed for your anti-chatter rod. Spacers are included to eliminate the need to shorten your anti-chatter rods threaded ends. The brackets will work with cast bell housings as well as the stamped bell housings with proper spacing. Spacing will need to be determined by the installer which will be determined by your bell housing and your anti-chatter rod length. Shortening the length of your anti-chatter rod may be necessary depending on your setup. It’s pretty much self-explanatory when installing， but if not， we are here to help.
